The Story Of is a queer female owned and operated floral studio based in Denver, Colorado. We value love, honesty, compassion and out-of-the-box creative expression above all else.

Our mission is to create a space for our LGBTQ+ community within an industry which still holds on to many heteronormative practices that can feel scary and isolating when planning a wedding or event. In Colorado and many other interior US states that uphold the right to refuse service on the basis of religious belief, we hope to take the guesswork out of your vendor search. We see you, we love you, and we can’t wait to get to know you.

We also have love for our straight folk who are down with equality, love, acceptance and celebration. I love you for supporting a queer small business. Plus, you (and everyone else in the world) deserve a floral team who wouldn’t bat an eye at a bridesman, groomswoman, or a non-binary honorary person in your wedding party or at your event.

At the end of the day, no matter who you are, if you’re slinging hate or still trying to figure out if it’s me or my wife who is the “girl” in the relationship, I’m gonna need you to move along.

Why are flowers so expensive and what goes into event design? We aim to inform and educate all our non florists out there why we charge what we do for those bouquets fleeting beauties.

Small Scale Offerings

Memorial Floral - Your loved ones deserve to be remembered thoughtfully and respectfully. We would be honored to guide you through the process of honoring your dearly departed.

Special Event - Business openings, product launches, office parties - you name it. We love to bring unique florals in to complete your vision.

Dinner Party - We love an intimate gathering! A la carte options including centerpieces, candles, name card details, welcome table arrangements, and auxiliary floral.

Occasion - Single arrangements offered for birthdays, anniversaries, condolences, and celebrations. Next day delivery only.

 

Subscription - For flower lovers who want fresh arrangements or plants delivered weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Wreath subscription available seasonally!

Set or Product Design - One of our very favorite things to do is create one of a kind props and sets for photoshoots. We are available at any range you may need for design from conceptualizing a set to fulfilling an already realized design.

Personal Photoshoots - No matter the occasion from graduations to engagements, we’d love to show your personality and style through flowers.

Fundraising - Special packages offered as a fundraising tool at your event. Popular options include wrap bouquets and flower crowns offered for monetary donation from your patrons.
